  • A plane
  • A screwdriver
  • A sandpaper sandpaper

  • Plane the lower part and the upper part of the window;
  • Check regularly if the latter closes correctly;
  • Check with a spirit level if your window is straight;

If not, lightly sand with sandpaper to even out the assembly.

You will then have to adjust it correctly. To correctly adjust your equipment, you must locate the origin of the problem. Once the problem has been located, screw certain elements to modify the position or the pressure of the leaves on the frame. Thus, it is possible that your corner brackets need to be tightened. Here’s what to do depending on the situation:

If rubbing on the side, turn the corner bracket screw clockwise to move the sash to the right or counterclockwise to move it to the right. left;

In the event of friction on the upper or lower part of the frame, your leaf may be incorrectly positioned. To adjust it correctly, the adjustment screws clockwise to raise it or counterclockwise to lower it.

 Finally, if you feel air near your window or if the handle of the latter is difficult to operate, it may be a compression defect of the opening on the frame.

If this is the case, you will need to reduce or increase the pressure of the leaf on the frame. To do this, turn the mushroom head studs clockwise to raise the pressure and counterclockwise to lower it. For more info go on Apex Window Werks.
